The original Caldwell company, Caldwell Securities Ltd. was founded in 1980 to provide investors with a new model for how their savings and portfolios should be looked after.
Our corporate goal is to provide our clients with clear and unbiased advice to help them achieve their financial goals. To that end, Caldwell Securities Ltd. has only one type of client: The Investor.
To help ensure that this is true, we operate our company in a way that sets it apart from other securities firms. For example, Caldwell Securities only trades on behalf of its clients, never for its own account. We only participate in a corporate new issue if we believe that it will be helpful for our clients, never because we are obligated as part of a banking syndicate.
We also counsel our clients never to borrow to invest because we believe investing is a marathon, not a 100-metre dash. To complete a marathon, one needs time. When investors use borrowed money, time works against them. When investors use only their money, time can be their friend.
